I remember my Mom always said to me, "If you cannot make up your mind or figure out what you want to eat, then you can't be all that hungry."

If you want ice cream go for it! There are no rules.

Sorry, ddm2k, but I wouldn't put that on my compost heap.
Thatís funny. The salad was probably good though. Iím a late comer to kale. Iíve started using it in salads and in place of spinach or cabbage in recipes, and I really like it.

I think a nice hot fudge sundae is acceptable. But sometimes if nothing appeals to me like last night for instance I made DH grilled chicken thighs, I had PB on toast with coffee or a bowl of cereal.

Because I usually have my menu all planned out it is rare for us to venture too far off. That certainly doesn't mean we never do. Last night was the perfect example. After an unusual day, we ended up just having a big salad. I was thinking tuna, but then I remembered the can of salmon daughter had brought us when they went to Alaska a few months ago. IMG it was so, so,good and was just what we needed after a long and somewhat stressful day. Of course the glass of wine helped as well.

BTW, for the update, when nothing else sounded good, a bowl of cold , crunchy, granola type cereal did.
I see some others of you share that opinion.
The ice cream is still there for some other day .

Sometimes I'll microwave a small potato, then peel it and chop it up in small sized pieces, fry it up in a little olive oil till brown. Most of the oil is absorbed. I then add some butter to the frying pan w/ the potatoes and then scramble an egg in. I mad this when I was young. Still like it. Add some ketchup on the dish and toast some bread and that's it.
