Plate Lickers/Cereal Milk Drinkers Unite

I drink the milk from the cereal bowl after it's gone. What's wrong with that? I wouldn't do it in public though.

I lick the plate at home. In public I just scrape everything off the plate with my fork.

I had not heard of that, but I do know that some people are very sensitive to the metallic taste many utensils impart to food, particularly delicately flavored food. Those porcelain spoons used for soup at Japanese restaurants are there for a reason. Same thing with chopsticks: the food tastes better.
