Heard that before. Don't notice any difference in over two years using the jars and those spices are used and replaced quite often. They don't get any direct sun light and its always cool.

And away from heat, too, and mine are right over the stove.

Thanks.
I really donít, but you have spent a lot of time in your motor home, so are any of those efficiency tricks translatable to your kitchen?

All it can think of is I keep my less used spices in a closed plastic container. I tend to buy the small spice containers for something that hardly gets used, like turmeric or cream of tartar, etc. and that way they arenít taking up a lot of space and getting in the way in a cupboard.

I have this too!

I wonít recommend products, but I do have a tip. Store things where they will be used. Store your coffee things near the coffeemaker, your dishes near the dishwasher, pots near the stove, knives near the cutting boards and sink. I have had to literally walk across the kitchen into a dining area to retrieve onions in someone elseís kitchen. My onions are in a large mixing bowl, in a cabinet close to where I would cut them.

My kitchen is not perfect in this regard, but I have tried to make sure most stuff is efficiently stored.

I have a wall mount pot rack above my kitchen sink, so I can hang pots and they can drip dry right into the sink.
