I guess I was thinking of sugary snacks I can never have again. Their not discontinued, but a song comes to mind, "Walk on by". I will never eat a maple bar again. Or any sugary sweet pastry.
Popsicle Big Sticks, those pretty pineapple/cherry swirl frozen treats, were discontinued sometime over the last year. They've been a summer staple for decades and I couldn't figure out why I wasn't finding them anywhere so I contacted the company and got the sad news
Callard and Bowser's Licorice Toffee. The regular flavor was very good, too.
Bourneville plain chocolate bars, available in Britain. They called it "plain" (vs milk chocolate), but it was actually semi-sweet. Then they changed the recipe and it tastes like crappy Hersheys.
Banana nestles quick - powder or bottled.
Geez, guys, thanks for making me depressed so early in the day.

Damn! I was going nuts the last few weeks looking for these - we've had a humid heat wave and every time I went to the store the popsicle shelves were wiped clean. If they were partially stocked, I still didn't see any big sticks. Now I know why - what a disappointment.
