I think I could live on potatoes, cheese, and bacon. And maybe shrimp.

My diet has become simpler out of necessity rather than choice. At first I was sad about it, but it's actually much nicer not to be covered in hives or ending up in the ER after most meals. And now when I hear someone say, "Oh, I'd die without peanut butter," or "I just couldn't live without sushi!" it just makes me laugh, because when you have no choice, you find the will to go on without whatever food you think is necessary for life.

As long as I had a protein, a veggie and a small amount of carbs I would be okay as long as the protein isn't something like internal organs of any kind.

yes they did, but remember they really didn't know anything else. Today we have been exposed to so much and our diets are so varied that living on just a few foods would be almost torture for most of us. Of course we could live on nothing but fig leaves I guess if we had to choice.

If I had a choice and was told you have to learn to survive on only 6 things but you can choose what 6; I would choose chicken, salmon, tomatoes, broccoli, cheese, and nuts.

I could live on a small variety and I have because I can't stand food shopping. I was good with eating a large salad, cheese, egg whites, veggie patties, tortilla and a few other foods everyday.

When I needed to carb load I would eat bagels and pizza

I do eat a much larger variety now because my awesome BF does the food shopping.

As long as there is a protein, carb, fruit and green vege, no problem.

but he is only saying if he had to, not that he will or wants to. Actually those 3 things are as balanced as one can get with only 3 choices.

I think so. It's mostly just staying away from processed foods. I don't eat most meats and much diary though but I do eat a lot of lentils, rice, kale, fruit. Or course I do like cookies and Coke Life.

My choices were sweet potatos, oranges and eggs.
Three foods:

Fish, prunes, and broccoli.

That's right although it's a rare day that I don't eat some of the three.
