I believe that I could live on just fish, eggs, and tomato. I'd like some spices and condiments along with a variety of recipes, but those three things would satisfy me.

Could do it if I had to. Most of the settlers of the Rocky Mts. survived on little variety. Sure would miss my Fosters and smoked duck though!

No. I eat and enjoy a wide variety of food, ANY limitations are horrible.

Could I tolerate? Yes.

Will I tolerate? No.

I can do simple in terms of not needing 20 ingredient dishes. Basic meat and potatoes cooking is simple but tasty. I much prefer a mix of many vegetables and a few basic meats for the balance of nutrients as well as not getting bored. The best of my favorites is not welcome on my plate every meal.

My husband says I cannot make a sandwich with less than 15 ingredients.

Doesn't mean I can't enjoy lobster with butter and asparagus.....

I'd only tolerate it if the only alternative was no food. Otherwise, no. I love variety.

Doesn't sound like a balanced diet--two proteins and a fruit. You'd probably wind up with a variety of nutritional deficiencies.

Spices are key. With them, especially hot peppers, I could. Without them, no way.

A friend and I once talked about something like this -- our take on it was, "if you had to live on only 3 foods, which would you choose?"

My choices were sweet potatos, oranges and eggs.
