That's good stuff, I agree

I quit diet coke by getting pregnant.

I can't say I won't go back though.. it's mighty good with rum in it.

I was able to do it decades ago. It’s the only bad habit I have been able to break.

Nice to see that the cat's out of the bag now.

I had my first soda in my 20's... never grew up around it.

Worked offered them for free and I started to look forward to an ice cold Coke or Pepsi... and it wasn't long before I was drinking more and enjoyed it.

My headaches went away too...

I try to limit to one can a day... but know I really should stop all together.

I've mostly quit years ago as well. Drink sweet tea with no preservatives, lemonade... but I drink mostly water. I'll occasionally treat myself to a rootbeer if the place I visit has good rootbeer like Culver's for instance.

Wasn't hard at all to quit.

I quit drinking alcohol years ago, replacing it immediately with Diet Coke. That became another addiction, and I switched to unsweetened iced tea and plain San Pellegrino. Now, I mostly drink Whole Foods' much cheaper version of San Pellegrino, WFM Italian Sparkling Water. Or else my local supermarket's store brand seltzer, depending where I happen to be shopping.

Oh, and I drink coffee, black. Usually 2 cups, in the morning.

Good luck, OP. I know a woman who had a Sprite addiction - she drank 5 or 6 bottles a day. She quit cold turkey and over the course of a year, with NO OTHER CHANGES, she lost SEVENTY POUNDS. She will have one now and then, as a treat now but she successfully broke that addiction.

My husband has successfully gone from 3 or 4 sodas a day down to 1. He has also cut out some sugars and fried foods as well, just made a conscious decision to quit regularly eating fried foods and to cut way back on sugar, including sodas. He has lost about 22 pounds since January doing only this, and he said he thinks the biggest component was cutting out the multiple sodas.

He does drink one small can per night now but that's it.

Nobody should drink soda of any kind whether it be diet or regular. I'd advise all the soda drinkers to consider quitting. My two cents.
