Been on a Spam kick lately. (By kick, I don't mean every day. I mean once a week for a few weeks). So much fat and sodium, but it's comfort food for me.

Salmon. Lots of salmon. Not that it's bad but the cost. The cost may be cheap in the long run. It might be many dollars less than the cost of heart trouble.

Nothing but am sure in the next few days I will eat plenty I will be sorry for afterwards. I might also indulge is a little more wine than my body should have. But, oh well how many people get a chance to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary?

I had a North Atlantic cod fillet from Culvers last week at lunch. I didn't feel too guilty however because I just had a lower calorie dinner that night. Probably my niece's cookie cake from Publix for her birthday the middle of last month. It wasn't even good and certainly not worth the calories.

I don't feel guilty guilty about it, exactly, but I did eat a bag of potato chips over the course of 24 hours sometime last week. I make this dip that's nothing but sour cream and dried dill weed (I like Penzey's best), which is the very best thing in the world with the house brand of rippled potato chips from my local supermarket chain, Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh, PA. I try to confine this favorite snack to once a month at most.

Obviously, you can use fresh dill weed, and augment the sour cream with green onion and a touch of mayo (never more than 1/2 the amount of sour cream), but the dip is fine as described. It doesn't even need salt, as what they put on the chips is plenty.
