Mine was a Jennio (20 lb)....it was great! Roasted it, made tons of juice for gravy...excellent! $.59 per lb. Food Lion. I don't pay much attention to "brand"...a turkey is a turkey..it's what you DO with it that's important! I've use this brand many times....and other brands.....I just cook a great turkey!

You typed .59 pound turkey--half a pound? I guess you mean a 59 pound turkey? That's huge! I would have put it on the gas grill, the Weber or the wood burning fireplace.
My friend gave me a turkey on Wednesday. I'm pretty sure Tom got to run around, eat bugs and generally have a good time before the big day.
Got an organic one from Costco, brined it and roasted away, came out great. In the bottom of the roasting pan I put onions, jalapeños and mushrooms, the gravy came out great with a nice spicy kick.
I bought a Butterball this year instead of our usual Riverside. It was very juicy and I liked the way it had a flap of skin cut to hold the drumsticks instead of the plastic or metal piece in the Riverside ones.
I didn't do anything special to the turkey this year but we all agreed this was the best turkey we've had.
