For us, it is a little early to start thinking about fall and winter types of foods. I will wait until next month. Right now, I am just thinking about finishing up a little bit of canning and then it will be fall food preps,as well as making a few home made goodies for Christmas stockings.

Wow! How did I get through all these years of marriage without knowing about this? Am heading out for the pumpkin right now (also the cake mix).

Thanks!

Hope you like them, I made them for the first time tonight. They are very moist. I sprinkled the tops with colored sugar when they came out of the oven.

I used to love pumpkin bread and pie, but not so much anymore. What I do hove are pumpkin flavored coved almonds we get every year at Fresh Market. I thy to not even open them until we have company or something special. If I once open them I can't stop eating them. We just bought a bag about a week ago.

Anything with pumpkin is good! Pumpkin porridge, for instance, is great in autumn. Also, pumpkin cakes and candies are great as a Halloween treats. Especially since they're easy to cook and are quite cheap.
