The wife and i ate some early snacks before our guest arrived, she was greeted with one small hamburger, corn relish was the only condiment and no accompanying salad ,i made a point of finishing the wine before she could ask for any, unfortunately she didnt comment on the meager meal so all my witty retorts were held in check for another day,,There will be no more doggie bags on Monday nights however Thanksgiving is fast approaching we'll see what happens as she will invariably invite herself over and maybe i'll give her the left over stuffing as a doggie bag.
No, No, Noo! That is for the after T-Day dinner sandwich!
She’s going to invite herself over? Looks like you’ve got another problem right there.
Time to get a backbone and learn how to take charge of a situation (nicely, of course), saying “no” as needed.
Shes been inviting herself to all family functions for 20 years as she is my wifes friend i have little to say in the matter and if i do air my displeasure at this fat mooch my wife gets on my case and i get sent to the dog house for a few days, its just something i have to put up with, the best i can do is make meals whereby a doggie bag is out of the question.
