What cooking oil are you using since Canola got the boot? (healthiest, peanut)

Not including olive oil, what do you now use for general cooking or high temp cooking? I was using Canola until my MD recently said to avoid...

I've never liked canola oil as it gives me indigestion so I'll continue to use Wesson Oil, peanut oil, and roasted walnut oil, picking the best for specific dishes.

Coconut oil and bacon grease. I use butter a lot on vegetables.

Coconut oil and bacon grease, when I do cook. Canola and "vegetable" oil just gives stuff that nasty "oil" taste.

Oh I use butter, but like olive oil, it burns when used at high temps...

So corn oil, maybe? I've tried safflower but didn't care for it much.

It all depends on what I’m cooking. I like peanut oil for high temp cooking, and grape seed oil for general use.

If I want flavor in my cooking oil, I use bacon grease, duck fat, or ghee.

I rarely use coconut oil to cook with, unless I’m making something that would be enhanced by the flavor of coconut.

Thanks...good choices. I use ghee too at times...likely will get peanut oil.

Grape seed oil Ms. Heron. Does not burn at high temps and (for me) no after taste.
Peanut oil will also work at high temps-I use that with any Asian cooking. It does flavor the food correctly.
