Trader Joe's sells a bar called Montezuma's Absolute Black 100% Cocoa. I like it, but it is a bit funky.

That numbered chocolate is real expensive so I only buy it around Christmas. I have no idea what the highest number I've ever eaten is, but I like them all.

Somebody brought some of that into work yesterday. Honestly, next to beer it was absolutely one of the most bloody wretched, vile things I've ever tasted, like eating straight baker's chocolate.
It's amazing you don't need a prescription to get it.

I've eaten al levels of dark chocolate. I personally find 72% the perfect blend of sweet & bitter. 85% pushes the envelope of what tastes good still. Higher than that I can still eat but it's much less pleasurable.

Different chocolates have different flavors, and possibly different levels of being sweet. I bought on sale some Madagascar dark chocolate, and honestly it is not that great. It isn’t the dark level or the sweetness, either; it is the flavor which I taste as oddly sour.
I keep going back to Chocolove. Lovely flavor and creaminess.
I like up to 80%, although I would prefer 75% or thereabouts . Stronger than 80% is too bitter for me. Bur if you do keep moving darker, I think you become accustomed to the darker flavors, assuming the chocolate is good quality.

Going to try 88% for a few Chocolove bars...
that way I will only eat just a square a day
and not get tempted to eat more, as I did with 77%.

Chcolove bars are the BEST.... With the higher cocoa content, you only need to eat a small amount to get the satisfaction. I know the benefits are greater with dark chocolate so I try to buy that. And it's worth the money too when the bar is eaten over a span of a few days. I always drink a cup of milk with my chocolate. Tastes better that way.
