I can't believe I forgot to mention this. Yesterday we were out and saw a couple of kids in their pre-Halloween costumes. I commented on them and said how I liked them. And they gave ME a piece of candy. It was awesome. lol And so I had to tell them that, just coincidentally, Snickers was my favorite candy bar (as that's what they gave me). They really were sweet kids.

According to this site, Snickers is the number one selling chocolate candy bar in America.

Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, Milky Way, Hershey's Chocolate Bar, and Milka round out the top 5.

By the way I did have a king-sized double Snickers the other day. And they taste JUST LIKE the old Snickers used to taste. Fortunately they are not really that much bigger than a regular Snickers. But I don't know why they had to change the regular bars.

Oh gosh, OP, that's a tough one. Likely college, so some time in the '80s.
