I made big salads of:

romaine & green ice garden lettuce
tomato
celery
mushrooms
1 piece crumbled bacon each
poached chicken breast
croutons
sunflower seeds
fresh ground pepper

Buttermilk ranch for me, thousand island for my sweet baboo.

My cousin's beautiful wife came over today to artistically hang paintings in the baby's room, and she left behind her a Chocolate Babka cake from Trader Joe's. It would be rude not to try it.

Homemade tacos.

Tried a new taco seasoning but it tasted too much like adobo sauce I won't be using it again.

Our dinner last night was one of our old standbys, tricolor rotini pasta with mild and hot Italian sausage, onions, mushrooms, garlic, zucchini, diced or stewed canned tomatoes, with a bit of basil and beef broth, topped with grated parm.

Tonight we are having spaghetti and meat balls. I made the meat balls a few days ago; will brown my other ingredients this morning before leaving for a day of bridge and while I am gone, the sauce will be cooking. With the spaghetti we will have a typical green salad with Italian dressing.

made herb & mustard roasted chicken thighs last night with roasted eggplant & tomatoes to go with. Clementines for dessert.

Tonight, getting ready for Weigh-in Wednesday, it's going to be sockeye salmon and asparagus, and fresh fruit for dessert.

We took advantage of the warmish weather and grilled burgers over charcoal outside today. We can freeze them for future meals. I will also make sweet potato fries with some cinnamon butter to dip them in.
