I gave the remainder of yesterday's peach pie to a neighbor who mentioned she didn't have time to make dessert for her boys. Tonight's dessert will be pear pecan crisp with a lemon sauce, The same neighbor gave me a recipe for honey-lemon schnitzel, which I will make tonight along with mashed potatoes and a broccoli-cauliflower casserole.

Last night my celery was bad, so no waldorf. I made a salad of avocado slices, toasted walnuts, crumbled goat cheese, and balsamic and honey drizzle instead. This is my new kick, but I think I liked it even better with roquefort instead of goat cheese.

Tonight we are having beef tacos - crunchy for me and soft for him. No side dish today but I keep noshing these delicious Butter Toffee Almonds from Costco.

We had a late lunch, but I made a pot of spaghetti with a jar of Mid’s with sausage and peppers for dinner, which we managed to make a dent in, even though we weren’t too hungry.

Pasta with olive oil, anchovies, garlic, mushrooms, asparagus and a finely chopped up chicken breast.
All sautéed in a large skillet, a simple and extremely tasety dinner with dome parmigiana cheese and some crushed red pepper and a California Cab.
