Very little breakfast and no lunch today so I'm having an oven-baked 8 oz. ribeye lightly seasoned, a side of pinto beans I slowed cooked earlier with chopped ham and onions and yellow stick cornbread.

Gotta' go. It should be ready now.

And listening to James Taylor as I enjoy it all.

Mostly leftovers enjoyed about 30 minutes ago : Two leftover pizza slices, some leftover bbq chicken and a small salad. Drank Lagunitas IPA.

Happy Saturday! Good luck to the SJ Sharks, too (they lead 2-1 now)!

My turn to cook! I made homemade crispy orange tofu atop steamed white rice and spring onions. A healthier way to scratch the Panda Express cravings. Hubby loves it enough that it's been promoted to our menu of staples.

Though I see why people wear aprons when they cook...with the cornstarch all over me I look like a prolific crackhead.

I made myself a big green salad with goat cheese crumbles and herbed dressing. The family is taking me out for brunch tomorrow and I want to make up for what ever I am about to eat tomorrow.

Wishing all of you a Happy Mother's Day Weekend!

Happy Mother’s Day everyone!
Hubby suggested we go out for Mexican today. Sounds good to me.

HAPPY MOMS DAY TO ALL YOU MOMS: some of you beat me to it.

We were going to go to our club brunch, but it sold out before we could make reservations. Then I made them at a very upscale restaurant here in town, but after discussing it with with kids and grandkids we decided it was just a bit much to ask 5 little kids to sit still at that kind of a restaurant. That was fine with us, I was not looking forward to spending so much money. So, our oldest granddaughter will be hosting a cook out. We are all bringing salads except our youngest granddaughter will do the dessert. Cause the host and hostess are tee tottlers, we will all bring our own wine or scotch. There will be 16 of us and I am sure we will have plenty of food and fun.

Have some leftover mashed potatoes so I will cook them up with eggs, cheese, and veggies and make them into friend pancakes.
