I had some a chicken breast from a Sam's Club chicken yesterday and some veggies. Husband wanted nachos while he watched the Colts lose so that's what he ate.

I'll probably use the rest of the chicken and the bones for soup.

We are celebrating DH's Christmas birthday today.

Chef daughter is bringing the meal. All I know is that it is Swedish meatballs in cream gravy. I imagine she'll bring dilled potatoes. And some of her home-canned tomato juice - a taste of summer.

I have some pickled herring here and made his favorite rice pudding, lingonberries and whipped cream for dessert.

I asked for and got a pastry wheel for Christmas and had plans to also make fattigman (poor man's cookies) for dessert but I am out of steam. The winter doldrums are upon me

Last night I made vegetable Thai red curry with abalone (sea snail) served over coconut rice. It was freaking delicious, though hubby picked off the snails. More for me. lol

We are going to split a game hen, after I roast it. Am doing rice and making a small salad. I say small cause I don't have hardly anything in the fridge to make salad with. tomorrow is Aldi's shopping day, then I will stack up. I am also going to roast some brussel sprouts. do you want to come and watch spoiled brat pout. He isn't crazy over brussel sprouts and we have them every couple of weeks.
