On a day trip today to a place that has a wonderful Mexican restaurant. That will be dinner.

Roasting a huge ham over red potatoes, green beans, onions, and tomatoes today.
If the chicken is thawed, I'll roast that on Sunday and serve with mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and dinner rolls.
Leftovers for the rest of the week!

Thanks for all the good wishes, everyone. I’m keeping ahead of the pain, and keeping ice on the knee. So far, so good.

Tonight dh will make a dinnerly.com meal, not sure what, but I am “off my feed”, so don’t care what.

A rainy day filled with occasional thunder and lightening,a bit of sunshine, build up humidity and it is a perfect day to do housework, baking and preparing a pizza for tonight served with a garden salad and a beer choice of Pompous Ass/English ale or Great Lakes Octopus Wants To Fight IPA. For dessert a slice of Westfälischer Apfelkuchen/Westphalian apple cake with whipping cream (optional) and a cup of Darjeeling tea or black coffee. We might need an Enzian Schnapps later

Try rotating two bags of frozen peas instead of ice.

Mashed potatoes from Idaho bakers, pork loin end pieces - call them monster chops or mini roasts, gravy with mushrooms, the never ending green salad.

Tried my air fryer for the first time today (although I've had it for many many months ... it's embarrassing ) ... cooked a couple of chicken thighs with Tone's rosemary-garlic seasoning ...

I had the chicken with a small corn on the cob -- too tired to make more of an effort. (I mean, gee, my regular stir-fried veggies take 40 minutes ...)

The chicken was good (and I have 1 thigh left for tomorrow) but tasted basically the same as when I bake thighs in the oven. The big difference, of course, is I can use the air fryer in the summer when I would NOT want to use the oven. But so far that's the only benefit I see? Maybe I'm missing something?

Thanks, I have a chiller machine that circulates cold water through a pad. Pretty ingenious.
