I'm finally getting my household goods delivered today so will have my pots and pans back. In anticipation of me getting my things back, I just went grocery shopping. For dinner, it'll be jerk chicken and jerk tilapia, along with Jamaican rice and peas, and potato salad.

Mikala43, is that the Aloha Stadium swap meet? I never was able to make it there, though my old landlord invited me several times.

Tonight we are having homemade ravioli stuffed with pepper jack, mushrooms, and crab topped with a lemon/garlic/white wine sauce; spinach salad (w. tomatoes/cukes, red onion, avocado); toasted bread sticks and a few G&Ts.

Almrausch, I wish I could be there for your Oktoberfest meal!
Dawn, see my "subtle" invite to you above.
Rickcin, I want some of those ribs!
Cdarocks, both of those meals sounded scrumptious.

I hope everybody has a wonderful weekend!

That one is a pain, we are doing one in our town that is close by. Most cabinets and closets are empty, almost ready to sell house!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I love this so much!!!! Your dinner sounds delicious, but the "subtle" invitation is the best part. I would bring a case of Veuve, my friend.

I started a meat based pasta sauce around noon today. Boy does it smell good in here! I am going to use that to make a lasagna. I am serving garlic knots with it.

I love jacket potatoes.
There's nothing better than baking the bejaysus out of one of them for an hour or so,then applying a big dollop of butter to the innards when you've sliced it open.
Sprinkle of bit of extra mature cheddar on top and let the natural heat melt that.
Parked next to a grilled steak with a side portion of garden peas and there's no better meal on Planet Earth when you arrive home from the pub on the business end of six pints of stout.
Happy days and good cooking to all our American chums on CD tonight.
