Day 2 after bunion surgery. Hubby is doing a great job of the cooking, and everything else. Tonight he made burgers, toasted buns, a garlic, Dijon, sour cream sauce, and roasted sweet potatoes.
We didn't get home until super late tonight and the little one still needed dinner too, so tonight was whole wheat pasta with a Trader Joe's arrabbiata sauce. I made a walnut oil and champagne vinegar vinaigrette for a giant salad. Sparkling water to drink. Cara Cara oranges for dessert.
If the tomatoes in the garden are ripe, and the mice/mongoose/birds haven't eaten them.... I'm in the mood (aka have the ingredients) for a home made grilled pizza.... if not, Swedish meatballs and sauteed Brussels sprouts.
I found some surprisingly good tomatoes on the vine this week. We've eaten them all, so I quickly bought some more. I cannot to wait to get my hands into the garden and grow tomatoes and basil.

off subject but did you have both done at once or only one? I had mine done years ago. After a few days I was back to doing the cooking and just about everything. Good luck and good luck to your wonderful hubby for stepping forward.
tonight, it will be spaghetti squash, with chili & some homemade red cabbage slaw ( vinegar not mayo), Neighbor gave us some mandarins from tree, so will have one of those for desert.
