Apple pie and stem ginger pudding for dessert.
After a rake of pints in the pub !
We generally do Indian takeout in the winter months ...
We will have chicken thighs, as our entree, with couscous as our carb. I have brussel sprouts in the fridge, as well as a few other veggies, so it will either be roasted brussel sprouts or zucchini squash. We may have cottage cheese as well, topped with tomatoes and green onions. At least that is what the weekly menu says.
found some turkey thighs in the markdown section. Will do those up BBQ style in the Instant Pot like the ones from last week, with a few little tweaks, since that was a good experiment.
Also, while unloading stuff from the grocery run, I realized that I have overstuffed both the fridge freezer and the chest freezer. Will commit myself to two weeks of freezer eating to get things back down to a reasonable level in both.

We finally had spring weather yesterday. We celebrated by grilling up some cheeseburgers. It was warm enough to eat on the screen porch.
It wasn't the prettiest burger but boy was it yummy!
I had a burger last night too but forgot to take a picture! My students, travel partner, and I have moved from London to Derby for a few days, and last night we went to the Carnero Lounge, just a short walk from our hotel. Great food, nice service (although a bit slow), great prices. I rarely eat burgers so was "in the mood" and it was wonderful. Most of my students chose from the breakfast menu and they scarfed it all down quickly! They said they'll be going back while we're here (probably for drinks, without me!).
Everyone else has been out today -- took a bus to Cromford to explore. A Derby University colleague took them (he's been fantastic). Alas, I couldn't go because I still am hobbling around on my damaged knee, but he texted me a couple of hours ago and said everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. They're all due back shortly.
Tonight we're going to a Thai restaurant and I will try to remember to take a picture!
GOT at our house, and going to keep it simple, grilled steak, asparagus and red wine. Fresh blueberries/strawberries and cream for dessert.
