1. Mushrooms
2. Mushrooms
3. Mushrooms
****** If olives are considered a vegetable (as per Jay's post below this one), then oil-cured black olives (the wrinkly salty ones) fit into the #2 or #3 slot here.
4. Eggplant
5. (tie) Onions, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, zucchini, asparagus

More than five.

My first five:
tomatoes (fresh when they're good; canned when they aren't, in sauces and soups)
frozen peas
potatoes (usually mashed or roasted)
asparagus
corn

The soffrito vegetables (the basis for most good cooking):
onions
carrots
celery

Things I can't leave out:
arugula
mushrooms
beets
Kalamata olives
the legumes

Spring green salad as a cooked vegetable, and with cukes as well?

Onions
broccoli/cauliflower (tied, not necessarily at the same time)
potatoes
squash (zucchini and summer squash in first place, but I love pretty much all of them)
cabbage
peapods

(yeah, I cheated, I know it's more than 5)

And I also eat a lot of raw veggies - if someone else makes it, I'd have a nice big green salad every day, although I don't always make one myself every day
