I wonder if any kind of instant coffee comes close in flavor of home brewed. If so what kind? I had a jar of instant coffee that was about 3 years old. It wasn't too bad but then adding things like sweeteners etc. Made it passable to drink. Any suggestions as to best instant coffee?

There is an instant esspresso. Can’t think of the nane. I think it is better that instant Folgers. Have a look at your grocer.

I think Yuban used to have an instant. Can’t remember how it tasted.

Sometimes I add instant coffee granules to chocolate brownies or chocolate cookies.

I haven’t had instant in decades but I do remember that I once used a freeze dried instant that wasn’t too bad, maybe Folgers?

I buy folgers coffee bags, for trips. It is passable, not good but better than nothing. think they call them coffee singles, I call them coffee bags, because they are packaged the same as a tea bag. They are convenient.

My mother always bought Maxwell house instant coffee when I was a kid. Can`t see me drinking it today.

Costco's Kirkland brand, comes in 3 lb cans. I buy and ship it up when I operate our seasonal remote Alaska office.

It's a Colombian dark roast.

Years ago, I had to add espresso coffee to a recipe, and picked up Café Bustelo. It smelled great, so I tasted a little. It was very good, and I ended up using up the small bottle, even though I haven't had it since.

I'm not familiar with instant coffee but you might want to try the espresso. I still see CB in the coffee aisle, so I'm assuming it's still as good as it was when I tried it.

Medaglia D'Oro
Aldi's brand is good enough for me, though. Kroger's too.

I drink instant Taster's choice at my Mom's but at my own home in another city it doesn't taste as good.
The different water has something to do with it. Otherwise I like it.

My friend uses Starbuck instant coffee packets and loves it. I don't make coffee at home much anymore so I haven't tried it yet.

Starbucks is the best instant I've had. It's been awhile since I tried it but it seems to me it was decent. Comes in single serve packets and seemed pricey but ok to have in a pinch.
