I really hate it when manufacturers mess with food. Bought a box of WT (unopened, nowhere near expiration date) to find nearly inedible punched-out squares of rock-hard cardboard with a sprinkling of salted flavor on top. No wonder they had to start adding seasonings, if this is what they've done to the original very tasty recipe. I'll eat them because I bought them, but just a warning to everyone else.

Well that's disappointing. They're a great cracker for a variety of snacks/hors d'oeuvres. They have a very distinct taste.
Reminds me of when Mother's Cookies went out of business and then Kellogg's brought them back. They changed the little chocolate chip cookies in the bag. I called Kellogg's on that one. They said no change, but even my daughter noticed as did my brother who worked for Mother's for 30 years. He said they changed other cookie recipes as well.
I don't buy Mother's cookies anymore since the buyout.
Bummer. I'm a Triscuit man, though none of them ever did my waistline any favors, so don't foresee too much in my future.
Still, those with some sharp cheddar slices and apple too make a handy snack. The rosemary and other spicy versions, doubly so.
Too bad about Wheat Thins, I've been chewing those up on rare occasion since the days of Sandy Duncan advertising them. Any other Gen X remember that? I remember my mom commenting, "I bet Sandy eats damn few of those!" Mom was always a big lady, but she knew the score and how Valley of the Dolls works (aka Hollywood). The apple doesn't fall far from the tree with her son, yours truly.

I quit buying the Wheat Thins and the Triscuits since I can buy the ALDI equivalents for about half the price and they are quite good. Tomorrow's snack will be slices of bleu cheese on ALDI Woven Wheat Crackers and apple wedges.
I usually buy the low sodium version, but haven’t purchased WT for about two years now.
