Fresh, whole lobster is sweet and tender so it's a win for me. If it's just the tail then it's likely been frozen and loses a lot of it's flavor, I would pass on it if the crab is fresh. If both were frozen then either is fine, just add lots of butter and lemon.

How do you prepare it if not by boiling (if frozen; the only way I can get it)?

I've always heard lobster -- usually tail or claw -- touted as the ultimate treat, but I tried it and wasn't impressed.

I much prefer King Crab legs, but are they more expensive per pound considering how much shell you're paying for?

Just wondered if there was something amiss with me for not loving lobster!

King Crab by a very large margin.

Lobster is okay, better fried.

When I was younger, seemed like it was just lobster. Now, I like both (any type of crab). Usually places where you get them, do the pre- prep, then all I need to do is, perhaps, grill them? Though when I do get them to eat, it's a special at one of the restaurants or seafood buffet at the casino Fri nite all-you-can eat. The latter hasn't been for ages. Love them dunked in a nice lemon butter mix.

In my mind it is definitely lobster tail. But the reasons could subconsciously be influenced by the fact that 1) I don't get to have lobster as often 2) It is easier to eat.

And I assume you are talking about dungeness or king crab. Not blue crab or something with itty bitty legs lol (although blue crab is awesome)

Crab Legs, and to me, it's more about texture. Lobster has, generally, a tougher, chewier texture that I don't overly care for.

Correct; not the WHOLE crab, but the larger crab legs (king or snow). Not sure I could eat the body, and the bitty ones look too much like a spider. Even some snow crabs come dangerously close (perhaps another consideration with some people).

CRAB LEGS, more specifically Alaskan King Crab legs !! Tastier, sweeter more meat and just plain better than lobster. And forget those crab leg clusters, more work than they're worth. We do eat lobster too, but it's hard to get good ones where we live in the Midwest. When in Maine or that area lobster is the way to go.
