I really used to like Chupacabra steaks but found out they are high in Cholesterol, so I gave them up.

When I was younger, I enjoyed shellfish:: shrimp, lobster, crab, etc. Not as much anymore.
Iíll prepare linguine and clam sauce once in a while, but thatís about it.

Lamb was a very rare treat in our house growing up. I loved it, and would ask for it for my birthday dinner. Some years I'd be the only one who got a piece, other years Mom would have some too (we were the only ones that liked it).

Fast forward to my early to mid-30s and I went to a fancy restaurant with my SO for my birthday and was excited to see lamb! I didn't like it at all I was so disappointed and haven't had the courage to try it again.

Used to like Sam Adams beer, now I can hardly drink it. Use to enjoy ham, now I prefer turkey. Lost any interest in red wine. Vanilla ice cream used to be my favorite, now it's chocolate. Go figure.

What have you lost your taste for that you used to love?

The short answer to your question in your header is "No."

But to expand on your observation about Guinness Stout .... I hate the stuff. I love porters and stouts in general but cannot stand Guinness Stout which is arguably the most famous of the stouts.

Tex-Mex.

I used to love the big local Tex-Mex chain. I've had better Mexican in other places to know this local chain is pretty awful. There is a single restaurant in the area that I'll eat Tex-Mex from, and even then I rarely crave anything but salsa.

Beer. At least, the beer I used to enjoy, like Corona, Dos Equis, Modelo.

But it’s more of a thing that my palate has refined, not that I’ve actually “lost my taste”. I started drinking IPAs, so now if I have a regular Pilsner or lager, it tastes like water.

If I can’t get an IPA, I’ll just have water instead.

Fast food, but not sure I ever loved it as that was what my mom would "make" for dinner 90% of the time. The other 10% was my fathers cooking. From that I will never have Velveeta in the house. My treat was my Oma's cooking, that I still make! As I got older, my wife and I started exploring other cuisines (I was exposed to Cuban food during my teens) and try something new at least once a week. It is very rare for us to have the same meal in a 2 month period, unless we are participating in a "challenge". Even then if the "challenge" is pizza or burgers, each will be different.

We probably all have: I used to love Artichokes but now, they seem to have little flavor. i still get the jarred ones for appetizers and sometimes use them in salad, but they are not as they used to be. I can also remember the days when I loved Chablis wine, but now the thought makes me sick almost. I am a big girl now.

I've lost my taste for salt. I still use it, but not like I used to. No doubt I'm healthier for it.
