So I'm lactose intolerant and prefer not to consume items with dairy as a result. While I'm not a crazy fan of sweets, I occasionally do have a craving for something sweet.
I've recently tried and have enjoyed this coconut milk vanilla bean ice cream by So Delicious. I've found this brand at Whole Foods, but will have to see if I can find it at the commissary for cheaper.
I haven't noticed that here, but I haven't been looking.
Sounds terrific, the kind of thing a posh chef would think of. I'll keep a look out.. Made with coconut cream? Would taste great ,as coconut cream has a high fat content. ("fat is flavour")--I just looked it up: 24 gm of fat per 100gm of coconut cream.
Here we have a lot of 'iced confections'.They look and taste like ice cream. However, by law here a product must have a certain percentage of butter fat before it may be called 'ice cream'
No. Erythritol isn't satisfying my taste buds. Somehow I don't feel comforted by this ice cream. And Monk Fruit extract gives me weird aftertaste. Too many different gums, that are not gastro friendly.
Expensive.

It really is good to me! They have several other non-dairy options by that same company, including soy milk, almond milk, and another nut milk that I can't recall at the moment. I may have to try the others to see which is best!

I rather would eat sorbet.....
That is fair! I haven't noticed anything foul as far as taste goes (thank goodness as this is a real treat for me every now and then!). Sorbet is good to me, but there's something about something creamy that I prefer many times
What a coincidence! We are both vegan and rarely have this sort of thing but it's the same brand but made from cashew cream. Salted caramel cluster. My wife served a scoop over her carrot cake. Very good!
I stopped eating dairy years ago. So I have explored none dairy options in ice cream. Halva Ice Cream is really good and is vegan. There are a variety of flavors as well.
What about Talenti?
I don't eat non-dairy products but occassionally try some when visiting friends.
I love Talenti, but never tried their non-dairy ice cream...
I like the So Delicious brand ( coconut milk) ice cream, but it does lack some creaminess.
