Let see here in San Antonio TX we have

HEB...

Super Walmart
Super Target
Azteca Market (specializing in Mexican food products)
Fiesta
and possibly Handy Andy--not sure if they are still in business
and various small business'

::HEB would be our main store in town. We used to have Albertsons, Kroger, Piggly Wiggly (about 30 or so years ago) but HEB ran them all off. They couldn't compete.

let's see in Lakeville, Massachusetts I have for chains:

Super Walmart (stopped buying groceries from there - just too nasty)
Super Target
Stop & Shop
Hannafords
Shaws
Market Basket/Demoulas
Trucci's
Roche Brothers

Local stores:
Savas
Cirelli's (similar to Costco)

I should add lakeville doesn't have it's own grocery store/chain. Savas is the only store in Lakeville that sells food but they only sell specialty and convenience items, beer, wine, deli sandwiches and pizza.

United
WalMart/Sams Club
Lowe's
Several small health food stores
Albertsons went out of business last year here.

For a city of over 200K pop. is odd there is not more choice.

Eastern area of Kansas City we have Price Chopper, Hy Vee and of course Super WalMart. Costco and Sams. Hy Vee is my favorite. I do go to Sam's and Price Chopper for our meat.
