Is there any foodstuff or dish that many people seem to dislike (for whatever reason you cannot fathom), but you actually love?

For me this would be first, beets which I could eat like candy, so much do I love the delicious, sweet, pink root and second, licoriceó an apparently unpopular candy which I find divine.

You?

I like the taste of black licorice which isn't popular with many. Basil tastes terrible to some people, and I've encountered quite a few mushroom haters.

Ok, I confess, you can count me among the mushroom haters.

I'll take popeye's spinach any day! And your mushrooms, beets - unpickled only, and black licorice, and basil.
You can all have my cilantro.

I'll take beets, even pickled, spinach, mushrooms, cilantro, basil, even pizza crusts - but please hold the organ meats and licorice/anise. The snell alone is enough to turn my stomach.

I'm good with everything on your list, plus black licorice. I'm not even allowed to have Sambuca in The house. And I enjoy kiver, sweet breads, and foie gras.

I LOVE carpaccio (one of the most delicious things I ever are was ostrich carpaccio in South Africa). I'm very very fond of steak tartare, even though it grosses out others at the table. As a kid, I would steal pieces of raw bacon. I'd still eat it, but know it's not safe.

You guys don't even want to think about some of the stuff I've eaten overseas. . .

I love beets, as well.

I also love rhubarb, cream dried beef on toast/S.O.S., fried chicken livers, cilantro, mushrooms of all kinds, haggis, black pudding, some strong spirits neat, like heavily peated Scotch whiskies, aquavit, etc.
