I certainly can't find them in the local groceries. Bavarian Cream is a standard donut flavor, but the chocolate icing on donuts is poor.
Life is so difficult.

What is a "strip Danish"? Danish pastries are not donuts. I'm confused. Are you asking about donuts or some kind of specialty pastry?

"Strip danish" are those nearly one-pound pastries that come in shallow rectangular aluminum trays.
I remember Entenmann's making a Bavarian Creme years ago, but it's not on their list now.

Are you referring to eclairs?

Is he referring to "cream sticks" (which are pretty much the same as eclairs)? That's what we called them in Ohio. I always preferred the ones filled with fake whipped cream, not Bavarian cream.

Ah...I think he's referring to the Danish pastries that are multiple servings- they are rectangular and cut into strips.

I've never seen those with Bavarian cream - only cream cheese type filling.

OP might want to look at Walmart's vanilla brioche as an alternative. It's a bit lighter and not as sugary as those strip Danish, but even more addictive. :-)

BTW, the thing called "Bavarian cream" in the US is actually pastry cream, a custard thickened with starch, which is (surprise!) used to fill pastries. Real "Bavarian cream" is custard mixed with whipped cream, usually set up in a mold and served as a dessert.
