I bought some very tasty sounding fruit pops in the frozen food section at the market last week. I chose the strawberry, pineapple, coconut variety. I took one out of the freezer this evening and attempted to eat it, but it is as hard as an ice cube. I was expecting something more like a Popsicle that I could ingest before it melted.

What foods have disappointed you and you will never buy again?

Huitlacoche and fiddleheads. I might try the Huitlacoche again if I can get fresh instead of frozen.

Frozen samosas....terrible, right into the trash.

And a dressing, made by supposedly gourmet store-yuk.

I have tried on several occasions to eat prepared, frozen main dishes, choosing relatively healthy versions. I just cannot eat them. They taste awful to me.

I’ve also tried to eat lower salt healthy soups. They taste awful to me.

I think commercially prepared foods must use such low quality ingredients that they need huge amounts of salt and/or sugar to taste like anything.

Can't seem to find good peaches in any big chain market.

I wasted my money the other week on two peaches that looked promising, but went from unripe for a whole week to rotten in what seemed overnight.

Peaches/nectarines are really hard to find outside a farmerís market where you can get samples and make sure what you are getting is good. Usually if I buy 4 in the store, they are terrible, and if I buy one, it is awesome. Go figure.

They were picked too soon. Very common now.
