Nothing planned yet so I may just grill some meat for DH and I. Friday is when we are going to Brooklyn to have some of the best Sicilian food for lunch with my DH and his family. it's a favorite place we go to 2 times a year. It's called Joes of Avenue U.
I will make calzone and pizza at home. Not sure if it's as good a Joe's of Avenue U.
Also mixed salad (lettuce, spinach, carrots, green bell pepper, celery, cucumber, fennel, tomato, radish), fruit (cherries, raspberries, strawberries, apricots), and later chicken wings and potato chips as the junk food.

Well, started the day with huevos ranchero on cornbread waffles and a mimosa, lunch will probably be a scounge meal and I've been neglecting some pork ribs for a week, so I guess I'll BBQ/smoke those with some canned baked beans and a salad from whatever's left in the garden.
Beer's on tap all the time, so there may be some of that.... or might have a cocktail.
Gourmet burgers and grass fed hotdogs, plus spaghetti squash with meatballs. Corn on the cobs and a garden salad. Peach cobbler and watermelon for dessert. Most of the vegs are from my garden except romaine lettuce and avocado.
lobsters steamer clams ….steaks...burgers and hot dogs and beer/wine..
I even bought a beyond burger for the grass fed bark and mulch lady.... (quite thoughtful)
we will have boat rides and swimming..... target practice with the rifles and shotguns ..
they all wanted to come here.. I asked every party coming over to throw a 20 dollar bill in the party hat … some with a litter of kids threw in 50..... that helps pay for the food..
awesome day. ENjoy every minute and I can bet the food will be outstanding. it is great to celebrate our country's birthday with a big birthday party.
Green salad
grilled ribeye
potato salad
corn on the cob
fruit salad
cherry pie
birthday cake - for a family member born on the 4th, not for America! lol!
Why not for America? I am assuming you are saying that tongue in cheek. We did have a wonderful strawberry, blue berry cake, made by our 12 year old great grand daughter last night but it was to celebrate the birthday of our country.
We had our big celebration yesterday. Normally we do a brisket or whoever hosts does one, but this year the price was so high we all agreed "forget it" We had brats, burgers and pulled pork: bar b cued beans: fruit: pasta salad that did turn out really good and the dessert made my our great grand daughter who loves to cook and bake.
Tonight we will do our usual happy hour with our friends but very early. When we get home we are having brats, left over pasta salad, beans in the intra pot and watermelon for spoiled brat. Then we will be watching the capitol 4th as we do every year. Our fireworks display is always the night before the 4th. It was last night, we didn't stay cause the traffic around the lake is so bad, plus someone among the 2 of us had way too much wine.

I have a rack of ribs on the rotisserie at this moment, will be served with pinto beans, cole slaw and watermelon for dessert.
So far I've had a bowl of peanut butter Cap'n Crunch, two pieces of buttered white toast, a glass of juice, some steamed smoked kielbasa, four butter cookies and two beers.
I'll have one more beer for the ride to the track, two or three beers there and then stop at my sister's house for burgers and dogs.
If the Mexican joint near there is open, we'll get some tres leches for later.
