Americans love to gorge on candy during Halloween, and peanut butter cups are at the top of the list.

According to a poll from Monmouth University, more than 36% of Americans say Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are their favorite Halloween treat. It's more than twice the number of people who chose Snickers (18%) as their favorite.

Reese's Peanut Cups are crack to me! Only Paul Newman's Organic Chocolate cups come close! I stay away from both most of the time~

I like bananas with chocolate and other fruits. I even like them sliced, dried and salted like potato chips. I love peanut butter, especially on toast with sliced bananas.

But I just can't get behind a peanut butter cup. Must be my taste buds. The less said about why, the better.

Our favorite Halloween candy is Almond Joy. DH started in on those two weeks ago already.

When my kids were little I made Halloween treats for all the neighborhood kids. Those were the best treats of all. But now I imagine they'd all end up in the garbage.

It just seems so unimaginative to buy the same old, same old. Every kids' bag looks the same. Poor little kids can probably only eat three pieces a day (and in the meantime wonder where all the peanut butter cups are going.)
