I just snacked on a Sweetie apple and some fresh almond butter. The two are great together.

Who knew there were apple detectives? Fascinating article about heirloom apples. Apples that look like shrunken heads or have black flesh. Just in time for Halloween. But where can we buy them?

Shouldn't this thread be merged into the generic "Food Chat" thread?

I mean, the thread started about Hatch Green Chiles being in season was.

??? I don't get the thread monitoring here. ???

I just went to NW Georgia to Mercier Orchards. Holy smokes, the place is apple heaven. Later, we drove to the Elijay area, which is apple country as well. Since there is just the two of us, I didn’t buy apples, but I did buy some other things, including peach salsa.
