The only frozen meals we ever buy are from Trader Joe's, and there are only two: Orange Chicken, and Pot Stickers (Chicken and Pork).

Their frozen 'family style' meat lasagna is the best commercially available I've had.

I liked the broccoli and cheese one.
I used to buy their Chicken Cordon Bleu frequently, thought it very well done and it was a quick toaster oven entree. Then they cut down the size to where it just leaves me wanting a bit more.

I grew up in NJ where it seemed Celentano had the Italian frozen dinner market cornered. I now buy Michael Angelo's frozen Eggplant Parmagiana, the best I've tried. Wasn't all that about their Chicken Parm but want to try their Shrimp Scampi one of these days.

Costco sells a tamale in corn husks that freezes well and reheats well. They are sold in the fresh deli area.

I buy frozen taquitos I think the brand is Monterrey, but I move them into other containers so I don't have a box to look at to verify the brand.

If you go to the restaurant supply store, they have frozen entrees that are exactly what you would be served in a restaurant. You must buy a large package but inside the meals are individually packaged.

I can't remember any frozen heat and eat meals from the supermarket that were any good.

I'm one who cooks large batches of things that freeze well and I package individual servings and put them into the freezer for microwaving later.

A big crockpot of chili makes dozens of small containers used for a bowl of chili, a chili cheese burger, chili hot dogs, chili cheese omelets, burritos, tacos.....

A big pot of brown rice gets divided up into singles servings and frozen. I freeze the rice in sandwich bags and then into a zipper bag. Zap in the microwave when needed. Zap a frozen veg, zap a package of rice, fry a burger patty or a pork chop and that is a very easy meal to put onto the table.

Lot of casseroles freeze well, cut into individual servings and freeze for later.

Like many products today, the food is smaller and the price is higher

I eat a LOT of frozen dinners, and find the ones from "Healthy Choice" to be pretty darn good. They have low carb options, "Power Bowl" options, steamers, etc. Lots to choose from. Most are low in calories, and very reasonable amounts of sodium and fat. Honestly they are very good quality without a lot of added "junk."

Because they are low in calories if you aren't on a diet you might want to supplement with something. Frankly they fill me and hubby up (and he's a big guy). I do like Michaelangelo's for Italian frozen meals.
