For food forum regulars who want to have a convo - not necessarily about food.

We will take a week off next week, taking advantage of some National Holidays here in Spain. We will do a house swap with a family that has a lovely house in the hills behind Malaga amongs olive and orange trees. Great location.

In the summer we normally spend few weeks in the south of France. We drive there stopping along the way to discover new places.

This year I will also go camping without husband but with the children and two other mums and their children. I know we are mad !!! They will fly out of the UK and we will all meet in a great campsite near Tarragona. I will load the car with sangria to drink together in the hot evenings.

We won't be doing any major trips this summer. We would like to check our new state of Texas maybe Austin or Dallas with the kids. Staying within a days drive or so.

Where do you live in Espana? I studied in Malaga in 2000 and traveled all around, but especially in Andalucia. Miss it so much!! Best time of my life overall for sure!! Enjoy -- go to Ronda and Nerja for me

My parents spend 9 months a year traveling so I get a lot of feedback on whats worth seeing, This year we are going to go through The boring "according to them" trip through Texas to Arizona and see the petrified forest, lake Powel then onto the Grand Canyon. We always do the beach so thought we would see some stuff everyone else has.

We live near Madrid, and yes you are right, Spain is a great country to live in.

I have heard both Ronda and Nerja are very beautiful, but I am not sure we will be able to go this time. Thank you for the suggestion anyway!!
