Thanks to all of you who took the time to wish us a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. We did have a good dinner on Friday and got to sit outside overlooking the lake. Spoiled Brats steak was over cooked: everything else was great and it was so nice to just relax after the week that we wish wasn't but we feel so lucky we could be living in Florida and facing the possibility of a cat 5 hurricane right now. All we have to worry about is getting our yard cleaned up and me making some breads for a bake sale the friends of the animal shelter is having the end of the week.

I am so glad you got to celebrate this huge milestone! Sorry about The Brat's steak. It happens but it's still stinks!

Sorry I missed saying Happy Anniversary! Gotta ask, but you don't have to answer: How many years?

Holy cow! Brat must have REALLY robbed the cradle.

If you were British, you would be the proud owner of TWO letters of congratulations from the queen. One for 50th and another for 60th.

I would have rather had a card from Trump, but that would not happen.

Yep, brat robbed the cradle alright: he is 69 days older than me except for leap year, then he is 70 older.

Default Excited: Rhubarb and Hatch chilis on sale today

Just to let you know, I am not going to use them together, though it might make an interesting pie, but am excited they were both on sale today: 1-Hatch chilies even when we lived in NM 12 years ago were around a $ lb. of course they did roast them. Our one store here that roasts them charge close to $2 a lb. Our small independent grocery store had the today for $49 a lb. I know what Spoiled brat will be doing in the next few days: hot or not, out will come the charcoal and on the grill will be the chilies:

In return I am making him a Rhubarb pie. Usually Rhubarb here, when we can get it is $around $2 to 2.50 a lb: .89 today. I am all smiles
