Default Mug of liquid ambition

Perhaps literally.

Just woke up from my day's sleep. Dancing has been canceled for tonight, so I'm dragging right now, and it is not from the weary eyes, but more of an emotional let down.

Are we conditioned to go after the coffee as a form of the liquid "happy pill", as well as its other 1000 and 1 uses?

Today my parents got back from Florida and they brought me some Iced Tea from there (Publix) and one ingredient I hadnt ever seen before.....

TRICALCUIM PHOSPATE

I looked it up and it contains phosphoric acid parts (Same thing they put in Pepsi/Coke) -- That can cause MUSCLE PAIN!! (And I have enough problems with pain!!)

www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tricalcium_phosphate

I dont think Ill be drinking any of this!!

I want to talk about Cook's Illustrated magazine. If you don't subscribe, you can get it at the library. It never fails to deliver a new helpful hint or shortcut, and some great recipes. This month, there is a recipe for Sformati...an Italian soufflé that sounds great.

Tricalcium Phosphate (Ca3(PO4)2) is harmless, and the only thing it has in common with Phosphoric Acid (H3PO4) is the phosphate molecule (PO4). It's naturally found in your bones and in milk, so it makes a great calcium supplement.

Knowledge... it's what's for dinner.

Sounds good to me! What makes the souffle special? What else do you recommend?

I am finding that recipe search on the web, while very convenient when shopping after work, has also steed me back to the print medium: now I'll read a few chapters of Food& Wine, for example, to get ideas for menus and special occasions. It's doing wonders for changing what and how I think about food that often requires some advance prep.

It seems like a hearty soufflé, one that is not delicate. In fact you let it sit for 20mins after it comes out of the oven and then unmold. Then you top it with crispy, cheesy panko. Sounds like a no pressure, different side dish.
The issue also has a good sounding herbed lemon chicken recipe.
