How did it go? Here, it got very windy for a short time. There was lightning, thunder, but just a few drops of rain.

It rained cats and dogs. Threats as well as rain again today so one slab got froze and the other is in a dry brine with the promise of half a day tomorrow morning for at least a few hours in the smoker. May have to finish in the oven but some wood smoke will hit it.

Oh, well. Hopefully better luck tomorrow.

It would be great if we could send this weather to California.

You smoke them yourself? Hmmm. If you have any left over, please feel free to send it my way. It's no problem at all! I'll take any leftovers off your hands.

no, he needs to send it to me, you live too far away and you also have access to good seafood. All we have is cat fish and that isn't what I call seafood.

I have two whole fillets in the freezer and will do them when the weather cools down into the 60's for high's. I've bought a new smartphone control to monitor the temp with in the smoker and regulate it to the ideal range. Getting anxious to try it out. Once in the 50's and 60's chili will be in order at least 3 days a week and one of those days it will be chili over brown rice.

well it is raining again here right now. We didn't get as much as was predicted yesterday which was good, but we did get enough. Now, for the rest of the week we are expecting it off and on. There goes our plans to grill the brats when we have our get together Sat.
