That is messed up. In Vegas, prime rib comes on a platter, usually too rare for me. It is not gray. Or grilled. I don't eat prime rib...but have seen it ordered enough times to know what it looks like. Brown on the outside, red in the middle.
Roast a prime rib at home sometime. Cook it until it's brown all the way through, what most folks would call medium, maybe even a touch more. Let those complex flavors resulting from browing permeate the whole thing. Then make plenty of gravy, the kind that only a well-cooked roast can provide. Serve mashed potatoes with it. The next day slice it thin for hot beef sandwiches. You'll never want rare again.
YAY!!! The piece is finally on YouTube, so you can all see "my" Jimmy. Ha!
I was disappointed, though, that he was so low-key and quiet. He's not a quiet guy. In fact, the thing that he does that cracks me up is that whoever is eating meatballs, he'll go to their table and say "So. You like my balls?" or "How are your balls? Good?"
My local Golden Corral Restarant is Overflowing with people today.
People don't cook homemade meals like that did years ago and I can see by the crowds at my local Golden Corral. They had at least 50 people inline. People are parking in other closed businesses next door.

A Public Service Announcement RE: Shrimp Tempura
Do not eat your leftover shrimp tempura after it sat in the car in 80 degree weather for two hours. My sister is in town for the holiday. We went out for lunch and then shopping on Tuesday. Wednesday morning I was hungry and decided to nibble on my leftover shrimp and veggies.
I have been sick as a dog for the last 24 hours and am still struggling with nausea. It does not help that I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner for my family and every smell that I normally love sets off the nausea alarm.

Thank you! hope your turkey turns out as good as ours tasted, it was so moist I could have brought some home with me. We had the turkey & the whole trimming to boot. Good food & good time was had by all. As we were leaving the ones that were still visiting were watching the Lions v Houston, it was a tied ball game.

There are a lot of people who have NOWHERE to go on Thanksgiving Day. While Golden Corral is NOT the best, at least they are open and give people a wide variety of choices.
For years, I had to work the major holidays. Any open place was a welcome sight. An invite to a co-workers or a friends house was supreme.
