Oops, I missed you mentioning pouring in the half-and-half.
I read the pouring part and then rum and brandy part.

Maybe I'm just not accustomed to hearing or reading half-and-half, but I definitely know what it is.

I just hate when eggnog is as sweet as a syrup.
My dad thinks that some brands add extra sugar to mask their crappier flavour.
I found a good store-brand that doesn't add too much sugar.

Welll I guess I've been dependant on corporate america and Christian Brothers for my nog. I love Christian Bros. egg nog. I forgot about Southern Comfort though. I must seek it out !!!!

Yes, its packing quite a punch calorie-wise. I'm scared to go on their websites and find out how many calories it is. But hey, it's the holidays. You only have a few days a year to eat and drink like there's no tomorrow so why not live it up.

You want a low calorie nog? A quart of 1% lowfat milk, six egg whites and two whole eggs, a large scoop of diet lowfat sugarfree vanilla ice cream, pinch of nutmeg and a cup of Splenda. Blend, add liquor, blend, drink.
