What a nice response! I just checked out their wine list & it's extraordinary!

If your favorite is a late harvest, you like sweeter wines and probably won't be happy with something dry. Tell Kurt your preference and he can steer you in the right direction. Believe me, he'd rather you be honest about what you like & be able to please you than deal with somebody who pretends to know.

Appreciating wine is not an overnight thing. Hope it's the beginning of a beautiful relationship!

We had a wonderful time. I wish I could remember tha names of the wines, but alas, I cant. We started with apps: mini morel pizza, morels and ramps in phyllo dough, and grilled shrimp, paired with a white wine,a little fruity and not to dry (thats my biggest complaint about wine, too dry) Then we had morel bisque, very good. We moved on to grouper and morel risotto, both were excellant Then we had a sorbet and the next wine, which tasted just like the first wine to me...a nice white. Next was a tenderlion with morel sauce and roasted veggies...paired with a red that I didnt like, but drank anyway (should I have said something?) TOO DRY for me to enjoy. Dessert was a chocolaty something or other that was very good.

We had a very good time and would do it again....the place was packed, they seem to do a smashing business with the Morel Dinners

I absolutely love wine, I love to pair it with my favorite dishes. A glass of wine a day keeps the doctor away.

You want to share some of your pairings? Remember, this thread was about Morel mushrooms....
