Default School snack

Hi all, next week is my son's 6 birthday and it is his day to bring the snack to school. I would like to take something different. It can't be to messy. He loves trains. Does anyone have something that would be a little different than cupcakes.

i just found a recipe for "pudding pops"
you take a cupcake tin and put the little paper cups in.
mix i pk of vanilla or chocolate pudding, 2 cups of cold milk, and 1/2 cup of peanut butter--although i would skip the PB
stick the popsicle sticks in and freeze for 4 hours.
they dont "melt" per se'. so they are not too messy, but nice and cold

How about train-shaped sandwiches or cheesy pastry shapes cut with cookie cutters?
Train Engine Cookie Cutter

Maybe a new Thomas the Tank Engine lunchbox set too?

you should definitely find out what your school policy is on treats. many have rules about allowing "homemade" goodies. most want only store-bought items. also, they have a lot of Nut free zones! It would be awful to plan, and fix a cute treat and have the teachers tell you that you can't pass it out!!!!! I would hate to hear those six-year olds crying.
