I never keep a close mind on any food. I think I am more adventurous with food than Anthony Bourdain. I've eaten stuff that he criticized on his show and enjoyed them. I think Chef Gordon Ramsay is way better than Bourdain when it comes to trying different foods out and liking them. That's why always keep your taste buds fresh by trying different foods, you never know what you may end up liking.
I've liked these for quite a while, but at first, I wasn't enthusiastic - Limburger cheese, it really tastes good, but it's hard to find these days, mussels (now I love them) Oysters - but only fried, not raw.

My mom's boss introduced me to Limburger in the 1960s, but it came in a jar. I ate the real soft ripened stuff in the 1970s. It started to smell pretty bad when it ripened, but it tasted good when young. When it got older, it started to smell like gym locker room shoes.
Baklava! I do not like honey or walnuts/pistachios so when my husband told me to try a bite of his baklava I balked. However he talked me into it and I've been hands down a baklava fan ever since. It is now a favorite dessert of mine.
