Jake, You should see your doctor for a blood test. I have the same problem and found out 2 years ago that I have low blood sugar. I eat small meals every 2 1/2-3 hrs. I eat a couple of pieces of fruit during the day, a small salad, small portion of fish and vegetables, soup, 1/2 sandwich. The object is to keep the blood sugar level and by eating small meals throughout the day keeps it that way. Your doctor could give you a list of foods for you to eat. Good luck.

More protein! Instead of sugary trail mix for a snack, try a hardboiled egg or some cheese w/ whole grain crackers. Avoid "white" foods -- pasta, bread, rice. They go right through you and have no nutritional value anyway. Go for whole grains.

That could be part of it, but it's probably still a good idea to see a doc as mentioned above.

Brown rice, wholewheat cous cous, wholewheat pasta, wholemeal bread or go for more starchy veggies (scrub, don't peel) like baked potato, sweet potato, carrots, soy beans.

'Whole foods' or 'whole grain' foods are not refined or processed, so they keep the good bits, which also help fill you up!

Whole grain - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Whole grains are cereal grains that retain the bran and germ as well as the endosperm, in contrast to refined grains, which retain only the endosperm. Whole-meal products are made from whole-grain flour.
Common whole-grain products include oatmeal, popcorn, brown rice, whole-wheat flour, sprouted grains, and whole-wheat bread.

Common refined-grain products include white rice, white bread, hominy, and pasta (although whole-grain varieties of pasta are available).

It definitely sounds like you are not eating enough. I would also suggest adding more protein. Add some eggs for breakfast a few days a week. also, some type of snack in the evening.
