I feel that a dinner should be a meat, a potato (or rice or pasta), and a vegetable. I guess I can count salad as a vegetable. Eating at home, I don't always eat this way--if I'm the one cooking--but I would prefer it.

I would eat peas or corn as a vegetable with steak.

Didn't read all pages so sorry if it's been said...

I like fresh spinach sauteed in butter with my steak. Yum. And mashed potatoes with lots of garlic and pepper. And sauteed onions on top of the potatoes.
