I don't eat lobster and never will, just because of the inhumane way that they kill them. My husband loves lobster and he orders it whenever he can, then he tries to get me to eat it. No way, they scream when they are boiled ALIVE!

I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat salad all the time.

If I ever won the lottery, I would eat Lobster, crab and shrimp all the time.

In parts of Asia, they boil dogs and cats alive.

The western world would find this atrocious, and wonder how they can be so insensitive.

Possibly they take the same train of thought that we do about boiling lobsters alive here .. just figure they don't feel the pain .. or .. it's just the way we cook them?

Maybe I should be more sensitive to the pain of my Nephropidae brothers, but screaming lobsters rank pretty low on my scale of compassionate concerns.

How is any way to kill "humane" ? Guess that's why I am a vegitarian. While I don't push my ways on others the question does strike me as odd.

You mean vegetarian, right?

To answer your question, I think the "Humane" way of killing is rooted in avoiding unnecessary suffering. A quick, clean kill is humane, while a slow, lingering, drawn out death is unnecessarily cruel. At least, that is my opinion.
