If you reheat it at home in an oven (not a microwave) it will be fine. Use a cookie sheet or doubled over aluminum foil. I would not cover it.

Anyway for me to keep the pizza still in tip top condition after such a long drive?
Sure, just get a 12v ice free cooler/heater unit. You can't cook with it, but it'll keep hot stuff hot, until you unplug it. (Coleman says it's set at 170F.) Just be sure you have the "HOT" side of the plug, in. Otherwise, it goes to 60F below ambient...(pizzasickle anyone?) LOL!

I freeze leftover pizza and simply reheat on a panini grill, frying pan or oven. Depends on how hungry I am. Like others said , don’t MW.

Ask them to cook the pizza "lightly" and DON'T slice it. Then, you can take it home, get your oven to 450, and put it straight into the oven...no pan, but directly on the oven rack. Cook till hot!

Left out overnight on counter

While I refrigerate mine overnight, reheated pizza is a delicious breakfast!

We actually prefer our pizza the next day. The flavors congeal and taste improves.

We have a cast-iron skillet for doing this---3 pieces at a time. Takes like 5 minutes.

Our friends tease us, but we call it "planning for leftovers" which we do with most of our dishes.
