I thought it sounded like a good idea. I know Giada DeLaurentis has a recipe for that but she uses the oven. I should imagine it would retain more of its nutrients done this way. A little olive oil, salt and I personally like to top it off with a little lemon juice once done.

"You are completely mad, you are you are!!!"

So who ever accused me of being sane?
The indoor grill is versatile,I've even filled a tortilla with ricotta/ cottage cheese and blueberries, sweetened it a little, folded it up, buttered the outside of it, and grilled it on my George Foreman clone. Sort of a Mexi-blintz.

You know what else is good? OH MAN, two slices of Pound cake, I purchased a Sara Lee, spread it with Nutella on both sides and then put sliced strawberries on it, put the slices together like a panini and heat it until gooey on your grill, oh man its SO good.

Okay gang, I give up! (Ira500 and I are in the Seattle area, and we've had a terrible attack of sunny weather for two days, so I figured that had rotted his brain...)

But -- what is a "Nutella"? Have I lived a sheltered life? Is this something I must know about??

OH girl, you have GOT to get you some. Nutella is the consistancy of peanut butter but its chocolate with hazelnut. Its heaven in a jar, once you try it you will think of all kinds of ways to eat it. I get mine at Walmart. Its from Europe of course.

Do you ever watch the cooking shows on Foodnetwork? Giada DeLaurentis on Everyday Italian, the cooking show? She uses it often there and the recipe I mention is hers.

OMG OMG OMG IT SOUNDS LIKE HEAVEN!!! Why have I never heard of this??? Can one get this in ordinary, or high-end, supermarkets? Holy Hazelnut, Batman!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I often OD on either Food Network or Deadliest Catch; pick one. But not so much Giada because her show comes on at a time when I'm generally otherwise occupied, like with Keith Olbermann's Countdown. Also I have almost no interest in Italian food....

THANK YOU LMCF!!! At break of dawn, out I go to Nutella!!!

PS. They have a Nutellausa website, with recipes!! Now I know what I will give everyone I know for holiday prezzies!!!!!

I get mine on the peanut butter aisle at WalMart, I have also gotten it Costco, two LARGE jars shrink wrapped together.

I LOVE to buy just fresh strawberries and the Nutella, get a knife and spread it on the berry and eat it. I love it that my daughter hates it, that way I don't have to share it.

We actually had a thread about Nutella, if you do a search, you should be able to pull it up. There are lots of links to recipes on there.

I also have the large GF Grill, but not one with removable plates. That is on my wish list, though. I use mine mostly for burgers and Salmon Fillets. All I do is heat them on the grill with a little seasoning, and they're good to go, and in only a few minutes, to boot. This is far quicker and easier than throwing them on the grill, and is easy to do year round. I hadn't thought of using it for bacon, but I think I might have to try it soon. That sounds like a great idea. I would like to get the grill with the removable plates, so I can make waffles and other things, too.

I shall search (although this seems to be something I would just like to scoop up on my finger, sans recipe!). Thank you, LMCF!!
